Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a Stripe account already?
No. Beautifyx walks you through creating one during onboarding. It's free and takes 2 minutes.
What are the processing fees?
Standard Stripe rates apply (typically 2.9% + 30¢ for cards, lower for in-person). Beautifyx does not add any markup.
Can I keep my existing card reader?
Beautifyx supports Stripe Terminal readers (BBPOS, WisePOS E). If you're already on one, it should plug in directly. Otherwise, Tap to Pay on iPhone needs no hardware.
What about Tap to Pay setup?
If you're eligible (US, compatible iPhone, US Stripe account), you can enable it in Settings. We've walked through the entitlement process with Apple.
