Is massage safe during pregnancy?
Prenatal massage is generally safe after the first trimester when performed by a certified prenatal therapist. Most providers wait until week 13 and use side-lying positioning.
Prenatal massage has documented benefits: reduced anxiety, less low-back and leg pain, improved sleep, and lower stress hormones.
