When should I pack my hospital bag?
Pack your hospital bag by 35-36 weeks of pregnancy. This gives you a buffer if baby arrives early. Keep it by the door or in your car so you can grab it quickly when labor begins.
How many bags should I bring?
Most families bring 2-3 bags: one for the birthing parent (labor + recovery items), one for baby, and one for the support partner. Keep the labor bag smallest so you can access essentials quickly.
What does the hospital usually provide?
Most hospitals provide: mesh underwear, pads, baby diapers & wipes, formula (if needed), baby caps, receiving blankets, and a peri bottle. Check with your specific hospital — some provide more or less.
Should my doula bring anything?
Your doula typically brings their own comfort measures toolkit: massage tools, aromatherapy, a rebozo, battery-operated candles, and a birth ball. Ask your doula what they provide so you don't pack duplicates.
