What is chemical peel?
Chemical peels use acids — glycolic, salicylic, lactic, TCA — to controllably exfoliate skin. Strengths range from light “lunchtime” peels with no downtime to medium and deep peels that require recovery. Peels should be performed by a licensed esthetician, nurse, or physician depending on depth.
